梨
1、(形声。从木,利声。梨为棃的俗字。本义:木名。果实也称梨)。
2、同本义。
棃,梨果也。---《说文》

3、落叶乔木,叶子卵形。花多白色,果子多汁,可食。如:梨枣(古代印书的木刻板。因多用梨木、枣木刻成,故称);梨栗(梨树和栗树);梨云(梨雪,梨英,梨霜,梨蕊,梨花。梨树的花,一般为纯白色)。又指梨树的果实。如:梨果(梨子);梨头(小梨);梨条(用梨子所做的条状果脯);梨干(梨子加工制的果干)。
