1、水名 。在安徽省东部。源出肥东县东北,折而东流,经滁县至江苏省六合县注入长江。本作“涂”,唐人改作“滁”。
2、古州名 。在安徽省东部,滁河流域,邻接江苏省,津浦铁路纵贯。特产“滁菊”、“滁州竹篮”。境内琅琊山风景幽美,为游览胜地。
